So our unpacking saga continues..along with more than a few embarrassing revelations highlighting our tendency to lose track of “inventory” and overbuy when things are on sale.
Exhibit A:
I am the proud owner of 9 bottles of cooking oil; 4 olive and 5 canola.
My husband is the equally proud collector of ridiculous quantities of drain cleaner.
While I’m over the initial shock and awe of our excess, now I’m stuck trying to figure out what to do with all of this stuff. Goodwill and Salvation Army have received their first donations and there are so many more to come.
Of course we will hang on to some of the extras because you never know, I could be hit with a sudden urge to take a bath in all my oil, and if I do, my husband needs to be ready to clean the drain pipes with his ten gallons of Liquid-Plumr. And hey, once that’s done we have about fifteen brand new sponges and seven bottles of Soft Scrub to bring that old garden tub back to its original, squeaky clean glory.
You know what they say, 247 ounces of oil, drain cleaner and non-abrasive cleanser are worth a pound of….
wait….
how does that saying go again?
