We put our home in Charlotte on the market 30 days ago today.
We accepted an offer from the first people who looked that very first day. We drove down to Florida for a family emergency exactly one week later. Hospital, hospice, funeral followed. My husband flew back to NC to pack up our stuff and deliver some of it to our daughter in DC. He then drove a U-HAUL truck full of our belongings down to our home in Florida a week after that. Unpacking, Good-will-ing, re-organizing followed as my husband flew back to NC once again to clean that house and then drive his own car down. We closed on the house two days ago, went out to dinner last night, basically looked at each other and asked..”what just happened?”
Life can be a whirlwind..that’s for sure. And yet no matter how chaotic, I am convinced we are on the life-path that’s been paved for us by God. Sometimes we walk, sometimes we run, sometimes we skip, sometimes we crawl..but we are still and always on His path.
Wow…wishing you well in your new place, your new adventure.

That’s so kind. Even though this is our “old” place we came back to after a three year stint out of state, that doesn’t mean it can’t be a new adventure..so thanks for that encouraging word!
