Pardon the pun, but my garden had me stumped. My husband recently removed a row of large, dead bushes and I was struggling over what to plant in that area instead. There was much to take into consideration, not the least of which is the desire for more back yard privacy.
My sister-in-law, who along with her hubby, were our first (non-immediate family) post vaccine visitors this week, took one look at the empty area and suggested the perfect solution.
Just like that.
Her fresh perspective made me think about how “siloed” my life had become during the pandemic. The inability to personally interface with people can tighten ones viewpoint and rob us of the depth and balance we enjoy when other people share their expertise, ideas and opinion.
What a blessing to be opening up our lives and our home to the richness that flows from being with each other again.

I’m thrilled to eavesdrop on people again…
