I can’t say I’m sure how much longer we will be religiously using hand-sanitizer every time we pop back into the car, but I have a feeling it’s a habit that’s going to be with us for a while. Accordingly, and in an effort not to completely ruin the steering wheel of my car, I bought a cheap, $10 fabric cover.
An added bonus is that the steering wheel isn’t so scalding hot to the touch when you start driving.. a nice benefit if you live in a hot climate.
The first cover we bought was faux leather and while it looked great, I found it to be way too thick. I’m an average sized person and I personally didn’t like how “fat” the steering wheel felt in my hands with that cover on. The (much cheaper) fabric cover did the trick for me, plus it’s washable.

Me neither! Under normal conditions, it is nothing I’d ever be interested in..but my sister in law told me that her daughter’s steering wheel is ruined from hand sani..I always wipe my hands off on my clothes before I grab the wheel, but still..this is nice not to think about it anymore.

I’ve spilled some sanitizer on my steering wheel and immediately wiped it off, but do worry about the long term effects of the stuff on my car and all the other things I touch immediately after applying it. (You just know that some day soon they’re going to announce hand sanitizer causes cancer….) But I did notice that in all your choices for steering wheel covers, you left out the pink fuzzy ones. Just an oversight, I’m sure!!

HAHA!!! They have some seriously bedazzled covers..I’m like “how on earth do you drive with that on there??” One of my kids does not, will not, use hand sanitizer..she is sure that one day we will discover it causes something..
