Earlier this week, a very proud mom and dad.. Mr. and Mrs. Cummings from Houston, Texas.. dropped their son off to begin his four years at The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

While sitting outside their beautiful hotel near historic downtown on Monday night, stray bullets from an altercation on a neighboring street hit Michelle Jordan Cummings and killed her.
If you haven’t been to Annapolis, let me share an image to give you an idea of what it’s like:
You get my point, it’s pretty idyllic. Let’s just say this ain’t Baltimore.
“Back in the day,” criminals would be taken to the town square pillory where they endured the wrath of the citizenry. Rotten food, dead animals and worse were hurled at them..and this was often before a whipping..
or worse.
I’m sure it’s wrong to fantasize about this horrible form of punishment- but I’m admitting to you right now that I am.
Trey Cummings will participate in today’s induction ceremony.
His mom would have wanted that.

Pit of the stomach sad. In the video, at the end of a parade celebrating his acceptance into the USNA, Trey almost cries when he tells his beaming mom how much he loves her.

It’s a gut punch. I want to see the face of the piece of garbage who did this. It’s awful..but I want to see a good old fashioned perp walk..I want people to have the opportunity to scream at this thug.. or worse. Very unchristian of me..but I can’t help it.
